Summer Skincare Tips to Attain Glowing Skin

Summer is the time to go out with friends and have fun, but many of us prefer to stay indoors all day to protect our skin from harmful effects of sun. Summer season has its own charm and just because of this fear, we can't afford to sit inside our homes throughout season.

Our skin behaves differently for every season. During summers our skin undergoes lots of wear and tear. That is why, in this season it is important to take extra care of our skin. Everyone is aware of the fact that sun rays may cause sunburn and wrinkles, rashes, freckles, pigmentation, scars etc. So it is necessary to make some sort of adjustments in our daily routine and go through some tips for saving our skin from summer heat and sun.

Drink plenty of water:
Our body loses lots of water during a hot summer day. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water per day helps keeping body hydrated. In summers, don't wait to drink water until you are thirsty. Also include those fr uits and vegetables in your diet which contain good amount of water in them like water melons, cucumber and coconut water. They all help in preventing dehydration during summer and help one to attain glowing skin.
Switch to lighter body creams and apply sunscreen:
During summer season, instead of using heavy cosmetics, try to use lighter, water-based formulas for face and body both. Swap your heavy eye cream from a lighter serum. In summers, it is very essential to apply water resistant sunscreen with SPF 15 which will help you to protect your skin from harmful UV rays emitted by sun. Prefer to apply sunscreen on dry skin at least 15 minutes before going outdoors and should be reapplied after swimming or perspiring.

Cover yourself properly whenever you go out in sun:
The hottest time during the day time in summers is from 12pm to 3pm. So protect yourself by covering your body properly. One could go with wide-brimmed sun hat which provides shade for your face and at the same time prevents hairs from being damaged. Wear sun glasses to avoid facial exposure to the sun and to prevent eyes from that sizzling heat.

Enjoy this summer at its fullest without the fear of any skin problems, for that avoid exposure to sun heat during afternoons. Prefer to carry a hat and sunglasses with you which will protect you from excess sun exposure.
